So
on the first day when the temperature dipped to below 20F
(12/23) , I hustled myself to the riverbank to see if I could
find some 'ice bells' as I call them - the inverted icicles
created by the river's tidal rise and fall and the lapping of
wavelets against the overhanging roots and stems . It was brief
- the weather warmed the next day.
