There have been just a few days of freezing to secure the idea that we are in Winter - with no lasting snow to provide its visual accent. Nevertheless I can always find something to show in this zillion element patch of earth.

Well, look what is >>> growing nice and bright green in Winter! I first discovered this here two years ago and was so intrigued because it's one of the most poisonous plants. Last year, though, I found none.

On the right, a typically Winter-bare tree. I have tried a new digital technique known as the 'Orton' effect which gives a haziness to the subject. Like it?
